Terms of Service

Staff sign in with individual accounts. Members join with a school code and do not create accounts. The School decides who may use LyreLink, keeps its codes within its program, revokes a code that has been shared beyond it, and tells LyreLink promptly about any unauthorized use.

The School designates the directors who administer its account, manages staff roles, removes access for staff who leave, and obtains any consent that school policy or law requires for students to use LyreLink. The School directs LyreLink on exporting and deleting its information.

Subscriptions are sold for the term, size, and price in the School's order or invoice. A subscription renews for another term unless the School cancels before the current term ends. Invoices are due by the date they state.

If an invoice goes unpaid, the School keeps full access during a grace period (currently 30 days). After that, LyreLink may suspend access until the balance is paid. Suspension does not delete the School's information.

The School keeps ownership of what it uploads, such as PDF parts, annotations, and song details. The School is responsible for holding every license or permission needed to copy, distribute, and display that music to its members through LyreLink.

The School grants LyreLink a limited license to host, process, and display that content only to provide the service to the School and its authorized users. LyreLink does not review uploaded content and will remove content in response to a valid notice of infringement.

Do not upload content that infringes intellectual property rights, violates privacy, or is unlawful. Do not upload personal information about students into song details or messages. Do not probe, overload, or disrupt the service, or try to reach another school's information.

LyreLink handles information as described in the Privacy Policy and any data protection agreement with the School. LyreLink uses student information only to provide the service to the School, and never sells it or uses it for advertising.

Information may be stored or processed in the United States and other countries. LyreLink does not guarantee U.S.-only processing or that all processing stays in a particular country. If the School requires a particular processing location, contact us before use. Any location-specific commitment must be verified and expressly included in a signed agreement with the School. These Terms do not change an existing signed agreement or remove protections required by applicable law.

LyreLink may suspend access for non-payment, for a security threat, or for a material breach of these Terms that the School does not cure after notice. The School can request an export of its information. Closure starts a recovery period (currently 30 days); subscription expiry alone does not perform closure or deletion. After the recovery window, deletion requires an authorized purge, subject to retention holds and applicable legal requirements, as the Privacy Policy describes. The recorded retention setting does not automatically delete information.

LyreLink maintains reasonable safeguards for the School's information. Report suspected vulnerabilities to the contact below, and do not access information that is not yours while doing so.

LyreLink will give subscribing Schools notice before a material change to these Terms takes effect for a current subscription.

Except as stated in an agreement with the School, LyreLink is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and LyreLink is not responsible for content that users upload.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LyreLink will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or content.
